Heavy vintage gold-tone collar necklace, circa 1970s, with substantial articulated metal links and a weight of 210.1 grams. Three strands of polished, softly domed rectangular links alternate with two finer strands of small, staggered brick-like links, creating contrasting texture and dimension. The five graduated strands drape in curved tiers approximately 2½ inches deep when worn.
Unlike many lightweight contemporary interpretations, this piece is distinguished by its considerable weight, substantial individual metal components, and intricate multi-strand construction. Finished with a wide rectangular fold-over clasp.
Size: Shortest strand 16 inches. Combined chain width when aligned approximately 1½ inches. Approximately 2½ inches deep from the top strand to the bottom strand when worn.
Weight: 210.1 g.
Markings: Unmarked.
Condition: Very good to excellent vintage condition with minimal wear to the gold-tone finish and light surface scratches.
